The Demasoni Cichlid, is a vibrant addition to African cichlid aquariums, known for its striking blue and black barring. These small, lively fish can be territorial and aggressive, so choosing compatible tankmates is crucial.
They prefer a minimum 150L tank with ample rockwork for hiding, a sandy substrate, and water conditions of 24-28°C and pH 7.8-8.6. Feed them a diet of plant-based cichlid pellets supplemented with occasional protein treats. 

Choose tankmates wisely; avoid similarly colored or sized cichlids. Compatible options include mbuna cichlids with different color patterns, larger peaceful Malawi cichlids, and robust catfish.
